predecessor of concepts in older SuperMemos. No longer used in SuperMemo 17. A category used to mean a named branch of the knowledge tree to which elements belonging to a given class of knowledge were added. For example, you might have keep categories such as: General Knowledge, Family, Internet, Job, etc. Now you can accomplish the same with concepts
